Apotheca was established in Phoenix, Arizona in April 1973 as a family-owned pharmaceutical distribution company focused on supporting healthcare providers with dependable service, operational knowledge, and long-term relationships.

Founded by Bonnie Herseth and Bill Akins, Apotheca has grown through three generations of family leadership and decades of healthcare industry experience.

For more than four decades, Apotheca has operated from its Phoenix facility, supporting physician offices, IV infusion providers, wellness centers, independent pharmacies, and specialty healthcare practices.

Today, Apotheca continues expanding its operational capabilities, product offerings, and state licensing footprint while remaining committed to personalized service and long-term healthcare partnerships.
