In 1973 when Mitchel and Bonnie Herseth founded Apotheca, Inc. to meet the needs of Arizona healthcare providers of ALL shapes and sizes it would’ve been impossible for them to envision the struggles that would confront their family business, now running under a third generation with the leadership of their grandchildren, but where so many businesses have regrettably closed their doors for the last time in the last few years, Apotheca has thrived as both a wholesale and manufacturing firm. “Three of the largest pharmaceutical firms in the UK have collapsed into administration with the immediate loss of 1,000 jobs.

Tester world, Doncaster Pharmaceuticals Group and Eclipse Generics are major suppliers of medicines with a turnover of £300million.”

Philip Dakin, joint administrator at Kroll, said: “Pharmaceutical distributors and wholesalers form an important link between drug manufacturers and independent pharmacies and their end customers.”

He continued: “It is a complex chain which means we will be working closely with the relevant regulators, the management team and the group’s secured lenders to mitigate the impact on the pharmaceutical supply chain.”
